Wildlife Conservation Awareness

On February 13, 2026, SWAN, the Eco Club of Vijaya College in Jayanagar, collaborated with the Lions Club of Bangalore Parisara 317A to organize an impactful environmental awareness talk titled, "Beyond the Obvious: Wildlife Conservation in Lesser-Known Habitats and Species, and Why They Matter." The insightful session featured Mr. Avinash Krishnan from A Rocha India and Lion J. Manjunath, who addressed the students on several critical ecological issues. Their presentations covered current wildlife population trends, the impact of developmental activities on natural habitats, the overall state of Karnataka's forest cover, and the exciting discovery of rare species near the Bannerghatta forest.
